Thinking of joining us for your first Mama Meet Up, Dad Meet Up, or Family event? We know you might have a few questions before jumping in—so here’s the scoop straight from our community to you.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! At Mama Meet Up and Dad Meet Up, the focus is on parent connection. Many moms bring their littles (about half do), but we encourage you to bring snacks or activities since entertainment isn’t provided. Family events are a different story—kids are always encouraged unless an event is clearly labeled parents-only (like Mom’s Night Out).
What if I’m expecting?
Come join us! Many parents start building their village before baby arrives. You’ll find support, encouragement, and real talk about parenthood.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Nope. Most events (like our core meet ups) are show-up-and-enjoy. Potlucks or ticketed events will note in advance if prep is needed.
How do I find the group at the event?
We’ve got you! We’ll wave you over, and restaurant staff usually know where we’re sitting. If you’re unsure, text us at (512) 270-8588 or message us on Instagram.
Who can attend?
Any parent in North Austin. No region rules, no affiliations—just families looking for connection.
Is this a business?
Nope. NAFN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We don’t sell anything. The only “catch” is that we ask you to bring your authentic self (and snacks or toys if your kiddos need them).
Not a parent?
There are other great meet ups in the area. We’re happy to recommend a group that may be a better fit.
